The “dream” of turning Texas blue seems to be fading quickly after just 100 days of national Democrat control, as Texas just elected three new Republican mayors. The city of McAllen, a Democrat stronghold that voted for Hillary Clinton by 40 points, just elected its first Republican mayor in 24 years. Fort Worth is now the largest city in the country with a newly elected Republican mayor and the only city among the 20 largest cities with a Republican mayor.
